When there is a
disclaimer on the DVD cover stating “special appearance by Ron
Jeremy” you can pretty well figure there is going to be some
kind of sex in the movie. With the film “I Am Virgin” that is
certainly the case.
The film is
billed as a sci-fi comedy, but might as well be labeled softcore
porn. “I Am Virgin” is a comedic parody of the 2007 Will Smith
film “I Am Legend.”
We follow
around Robby played by Adam Davis and his trusty sidekick, Billy
Bob the basset hound, who is one of the highlights of this
misadventure. After a virus has killed off most humans all there
are left is slutty horny female vampires and Robby, who happens
to still be a virgin.
Taught that sex
is dirty, sinful and only can lead to hell by his parents, Robby
has abstained from the touch of another woman. When he is left
in the deserted big city with man hungry vampire strippers his
will goes soft. Everyday is a new adventure as Robby and Billy
Bob head out in his parents suburban looking for other life,
food, and fun. However everyday that he is out there he runs
across another sexual encounter between the vampires who try to
get him to join.
As Robby video
blogs on his computer, which still gets penis spam mail even
though no one is reading his mail or blog, Robby confesses he
can’t take much more. He heads out to the local strip club where
they were expecting him. The club is filled with tattooed
vampire strippers, some playing pool and one spitting fire from
the stage and Robby gives in….or does he?
All gratuitous
sex aside, “I Am Virgin” is pretty funny and if you look hard
enough you might even find a moral to the story. However to get
to that point you have to watch a handful of softcore sex scenes
with female vampires, a lot of boobs and some funny on-liners
from Robby, not to mention the incredibly cute basset hound.
Filmed entirely
in Portland by Portland film makers and writers Sean Skelding
and David Wester, “I Am Virgin’s” production was really
impressive with it’s desolate streets, run down buildings and
parallel theme to the Will Smith film.
