Wicked Picture’s blockbuster of the year is a film entitled 2040, written and directed by Wicked’s go-to guy Brad Armstrong. The film, co-starring Alektra Blue and Jessica Drake as the leads, is a look into the future of the adult film industry.

After rampant diseases runs through the industry, sex is hard to come by. Brad Armstrong – who plays the male lead Duncan Caldwell – owns the Real Doll Company, which makes sex robots for the porn industry. But when one of Brad’s former employees, Morris Lanning (Marcus London) invents his own better sexbot, Armstrong must ruin the competition. There’s only one problem, there is a spy in his company – his right hand girl Monica Sweet played by Jessica Drake.

The film opens with Jessica Drake doing a voice overdub, which is prevalent throughout the film. She explains what’s going on and how they got to this point. Randy Spears is getting ready for his sex scene with blonde droid Alexis Texas. Randy plays Ryan Spears the son of his legendary porn father. Randy is dressed like a pirate and Alexis has a corset on so I guess fashion actually devolved back a couple of hundred of years. The sex scene itself was pretty common Wicked fodder with three positions and a pop, but before the pop, Alexis the droid malfunctions so Randy has to fuck her lifeless mouth and cum in her mouth.

Upset with the broken down droids they are getting from Armstrong’s Real Doll Company, the porn company contacts Marcus London’s company, who has the very impressive droid Mira aka, Alektra Blue. Meanwhile Randy is still active in the film. He is falling in love with Alektra and is showing her the little things about life a droid doesn’t know and as he does this the droid slowly starts developing feelings.

But a monkey wrench is thrown into the mix when Brad gets his hand on Alektra, the ultimate sexbot. He kills Marcus London and then tries out the product by fucking Alektra in Marcus’ lab. Alektra sucks him off then they fuck in missionary, doggie style and Alektra riding him in reverse cowgirl. Brad likes the new model droid his rival created and gives her a facial which actually he shoots over her shoulder.

Alektra ends the scenes, nine in all, with a threesome featuring Tommy Gunn and Bill Bailey at Brad’s house. After the hot threesome we get more dialogue, a lot in fact as the plot gives us another twist and we end credits.

Wicked Pictures’ 2040 was well put together as far as production goes. It lived up to the futuristic theme except for a few loop holes like after 30 years cars and helicopters still look the same and just because you wear black clothing, doesn’t make it the future. On the bright side this film was carried by Alektra Blue’s energizing sex and her comical sexbot moves. Jessica Drake played her role as the spy and right hand man to bumbling Brad perfectly. Does 2040 live up to the hype? No it doesn’t, but big porn films rarely do for me. This is a good film from start to finish with a nice concept and some high-end visuals.
