STUCKROOOM.COM WINS 2009 XBIZ AWARD FOR WEB
RETAILER OF THE YEAR
LOS ANGELES – (June 23, 2009) – Leading
fetish retail marketer Stockroom.com won the 2009 XBIZ Award for
Web Retailer of the Year. The award was made at a gala ceremony
recently at Boulevard 3 in Hollywood at which a crowd of top
executives, agents, talent and webmasters gathered to honor the
best in the industry.
“I started stockroom.com in 1988. I took it
online in 1989. This is our 20th year online. It’s nice to see
the adult internet is a little bit bigger now. When I got in,
there were like five people. Next year, hopefully, Affiliate
Program of the Year,” said Joel Tucker, founder of Stockroom.com
in accepting the award.
XBIZ says its annual awards are “a symbol of
achievement and excellence dedicated to honoring outstanding
individuals, companies, performers and products that play an
essential part in the growth and success of adult
entertainment.”
Stockroom.com operates out of a 30,000 square
foot three-story workshop and retail space on Sunset Boulevard
in Los Angeles. The vertically integrated facility combines
leather and latex production, shipping, receiving and
warehousing with design, executive and sales offices, and a
retail boutique that was awarded “Best Fetish Store” by Los
Angeles magazine in 2008. The company’s men’s retail site,
MaleStockroom.com, was awarded Best Adult Novelties Site in the
2009 Cybersocket Awards.
