PANTY POACHER GETS PROBATION

A man in Salem, OR, who pleaded guilty to burglary in relation to charges that he had been stealing his female neighbor’s underwear for over a year, was sentenced to three years probation.

Randall J. Giesbers’, 48, troubles began last summer when police caught him in his neighbor’s garage wearing only the woman’s underwear.

Prosecutor Courtland Geyer sought a four-year prison sentence, noting that the victim repeatedly stole the  woman’s “intimate items” in the year leading to the August arrest.

The Statesman Journal reports that Giesbers apologized in court Monday to his family and the victim.

Defense attorney Jason Thompson says his client has been living away from his family’s home and will continue to stay away for now.
