LOS ANGELES — Two independent movie
directors have signed on to bring Linda Lovelace’s real life
story to the big screen.
According to Variety Magazine, Rob Epstein and
Jeffrey Friedman are on board to direct the indie biopic
“Lovelace.”
The story follows the life of porn actress Linda
Lovelace, her rise to fame in the 1972 classic “Deep Throat” and
how she eventually became anti-porn activist, Linda Marchiano.
“Lovelace” also draws from the biography, “The Complete Linda
Lovelace.”
“The movie ‘Deep Throat’ will still be in the top
20 of all porno movies. It’s a staple. There’s a spot for ‘Deep
Throat' and it has a prominent location in the history of porn,”
VCX CEO David Sutton told XBIZ.
The indie biopic will be told from the
perspective of three interviewers at various stages throughout
her life.
“Linda is this fascinating character who
continually reinvented herself and her story based on changing
circumstances,” Epstein said. “It’s a story with great dramatic
and psychological dimensions.”
