You can take the girl out of the south… - An Interview with Stormy Daniels

By Troy Michael (Originally published in Genesis Magazine)

Wicked Pictures contract girl Stormy Daniels is a southern girl. She was born in the deep south of the Louisiana capitol Baton Rouge. On St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1979 ‘lil Stormy came out kicking and screaming and she has stopped since.

The half Irish half Cherokee beauty was raised in a one parent house by her mother. From her mom, Stormy inherited her sexy blue eyes, crimson hair and energetic personality.

As a child in the humid south, Stormy took to horses and dancing. Two loves she still holds dear today. This intelligent active girl also went to a special school for smart kids and was at the top of her class. Unbeknownst to her at the time, Stormy would use all these traits in her  grown up life as a feature dancer and an adult film star.

Today Stormy Daniels is an AVN Award winning actress (2004 Best New Starlet), she is happily married to a well known porn director (Pat Myne) and she walks with the elite in the adult film industry.

In the short amount of time this breathtaking beauty has been in the business she has…..well taken us by storm.

How was it growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana?

I was raised by my mother and we were actually pretty poor...I had to wear clothes from K-mart and all the kids at school tortured me.  But believe it or not, I miss Louisiana.  I loved Baton Rouge.  It doesn't have all the bustle and traffic of Los Angeles.  I played outside in the woods and grew up riding horses.  I think my back ground made me more grounded and able to appreciate what I have now.  It made me work hard and learn to be creative.

What exactly is gumbo?

I can't reveal that!  A good Cajun girl never tells....but I have to admit, mine is pretty yummy!

You are half Irish and half Cherokee, what a nice mix of heritage. Do you know a lot about your ancestors?

Unfortunately, I know very little about my ancestors.  I wish I had a more interesting answer.  I've actually only seen one photo of my great grandparents, but they did have feathers in their hair and everything!

You mention in your bio you are not a drinker, why is that?

I have learned to drink in moderation and never when I'm working.  Mainly, I just don't like the taste of alcohol.  I keep trying but can't seem to make myself like it.

How many horses do you own now and what are their names? Where are they kept with your busy schedule?

Currently, I own two horses and am shopping for a third.  I have a Chestnut named Tabasco and a Palomino named Mr. Sandman.  Sandy is my baby!  I keep them at a boarding stable about ten minutes from my house.  I pay a girl who is in high school to ride them for me when I'm away feature dancing.

How big is music in your life?

I love music!  I try to go to at least two shows a month.  Many of my friends will laugh and tell you what a groupie I am!  Infuriately, I have absolutely no musical talent.  Instead, I try to date musicians and live through them.  I won't reveal too much, but I've spent many nights on a tour bus.

You started stripping while in high school, did your Mom know or anyone in school?

I had moved out and wasn't on speaking terms with my mother when I started stripping so she didn't know.  I didn't even tell my best friend for a long time.  I was under age and afraid someone would rat me out.  I wasn't as concerned about paying the rent as I was about not being able to feed my horse!!

Were you the sexual girl in school or just liked to dance?

If you mean by sexual, did I sleep around...then no.  I had one serious boyfriend through most of high school so I was only with him.  I just truly love to dance.

Your path to be a feature dancer seems to have come naturally. Do you feel this is what you are supposed to been doing all along?

Definitely!  It makes me sad to think I'll have to hang up my G-string one day...I am a dancer at heart. It's finally paid off!  Just yesterday, I got the call that I am nominated for Exotic Dancer's Entertainer of the Year.  They only choose five girls and I was one of them!

How many adult movies have you made?

About 50

Was the adult industry everything you have expected?

Yes...and more.  Every business has a good side and a bad one, and I've seen both in this one.  Luckily, I work for the best company in the adult business.

Your first scene was with another girl. Were you bi sexual before that or was it for the film only? Who was the girl?

I wanted to be bi but was afraid to really try it.  Movies gave me an outlet.  My first seen was with Devon Michaels.

Why did you only do girl/girl for the first few months in the business?

I wanted to get a feel for the industry and meet all the guys before deciding which ones I felt comfortable working with.

How did it feel winning AVN's Best New Starlet 2004?

I almost peed myself I was so surprised!  It was very fulfilling.

Where do you keep the award now?

I slept with it for about a week, but now it sits on my desk at home.

What do you think of the more gonzo extreme porn films being made now?

That's the type of movies that my husband directs so I've really developed a taste for them.  I am not too interested in appearing in gonzo though because I enjoy acting so much.  I don't think I could handle the physical demands of some of those scenes either.  My hats go off to those girls...they are sexual athletes.

If you were invisible for a day what would you do?

I would hang out in the dressing room at Victoria Secret.

Strangest place you have ever had sex?

The 50 yard line of a football field

Most embarrassing sexual experience?

Having to work when it is that time of the month with a guy who gets faint at the sight of blood.

Strangest place you have masturbated?

Tanning bed

What is a fantasy you haven’t done yet?

I want to get fucked by two guys.

Have you ever been fisted fucked or fist fucked someone?

Yes...on my wedding night...isn't that romantic?

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I love to cook and I can't swim.
