Having her cake and eating it too: an interview with Ryder Skye

As a former theatre major, now working on a degree in women's studies with a minor in human sexuality, porn performer Ryder Skye has visions grander than just fucking on film for a living.

The brown-haired Southern California girl entered the adult business last year and has done about 50 scenes, including her recent adult feature film debut in Sex Z's Get Reel directed by male performer Tee Reel.

"It was a pleasure working with Ryder Skye," Reel said. "She fit the part perfectly and was a joy to have on set. The sex scene was fantastic and casting that role was difficult. I considered many girls but kept coming back to Ryder. Our fans will be happy with her acting."

The half-Japanese 5’2” Skye got her start in the adult film business like thousands of girls before her. She started working at Cheetah's night club in Hollywood as an exotic dancer and moved on from there. She also did some modeling, which led to her on-camera career.

The 25-year-old has started out with a bang working with some of the biggest black cocks in the business including Mr. Marcus in Iron Head 9, Richard Mann in Manaconda and Son of Blackzilla.

I sat down with Ryder Skye, who is also a big animal activist, to talk about her promising career, her love for rough sex and how it put her in the hospital.

Congratulations on your feature film debut in Get Reel. Was it as fun as you expected?

It was a lot of fun, but I admit I was nervous going in. I get nervous before any scene actually. I used to get nervous all the time before dancing too. I think I am like that because I worry too much about things going wrong.

Did you calm down once you got started?

Yes I did. It was a lot of fun because I got to die in the film. I was shooting and I got to have fake blood in my mouth and lay in a hospital bed. I also got to have a hot threesome with Tee Reel and Natasha Nyce. I was really pleased with the way that scene turned out.

Do you like working on big budget features better than gonzo releases?

I would choose features anytime because I get to use my theatre background. I studied acting for ten years so it is nice to get to use that and get fucked on film. I get best of both worlds. I could sit on set 14 hours a day anytime to make a feature because it allows me to be more creative.

How do your parents feel about this new career choice in the adult industry?

I am not sure yet because I don’t think they know. The thing is I don’t feel like I am keeping it from my Mom because I don’t think she wants to know. If she finds out - it will happen. She is suspicious of what I am doing besides going to school full time because she keeps asking the same questions about my job and wonders how I pay rent and bills.

What does she think you are doing to make money?

 She thinks I am just dancing at a bikini bar.

Is there a difference between Ryder Skye on set fucking than Ryder Skye fucking at home?

The way I have sex on camera is I pretend no one is there like I am having sex at home so there isn’t much of a difference. The only difference on films is I have to make aware of the camera and where it is because sometimes the director wants me to look into it.

What’s the strangest place you have ever had sex?

I was dating this guy and one night we broke into the backyard of some ones house on Pacific Coast Highway and fucked in their Jacuzzi on the deck.

What were you like as a kid growing up in California?

I was the shy girl and was really insecure. The first guy I slept with was in high school, I was 16 and I was anxious because I thought no one would ever have sex with me.
