Sometimes I go into an interview with a lot of information, due to the longevity or popularity of the porn performer I am talking with. Then, there are those times where you come across a girl who doesn’t have much press out there, and the only thing you can go off of is the tidbits you hear or see on message boards.

Sherman Oaks, California native Katie St. Ives definitely falls under the latter category. How’d you come up with the name Katie St. Ives? It sounds very Irish.

Katie is a name I used when random guys would approach me and ask for name. Katie is what I told them. As for St. Ives, I got that on the first set I was on and couldn’t think of a last name. When I looked it up, I found a bottle of St. Ives lotion on the table. I felt like it fit me well.

You’ve done about 25 films and six of those have been with Jules Jordan Video. What is it about that company that you like so much?

Working for any of Jules Jordan’s directors is always going to be a good time. I have shot the most for Mike John and would have to say that he is my favorite gonzo director out there. I really like how laid back Mike and Tim Von Swine’s sets are.

What’s your favorite film you’ve done with Jules Jordan Video? What’s your favorite film overall?

My favorite film I did for Jules Jordan Video would have to be “Phat Ass White Booty 5” and “POV Pervert 11.” Overall my favorite film I have been in at this very moment has to be “Cheers: A XXX Parody.” I had a great time with Evan Stone and the New Sensations crew is amazing.

I don’t know too much about you except for some really hot scenes you’ve done. How’d you get into the porn industry? (I know that is such a cliché question.)

 I have always loved having sex and felt that I was kind of good at, so why not get a job that has something to do with me expressing my sexuality. My good friends at the time knew of my interest, and one day I got a call from my girlfriend saying that a “modeling” scout gave her a card and she didn’t want to do it, so I called him. About two weeks later I was going on “go sees.”

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

When I was younger, I wanted to be one of three things. I wanted to be either a marine biologist, make-up artist or a cook. I had gone to every summer school, field trip and side classes I could attend, before I realized that cooking is hard on my feet, marine biology I never pursued, and going to a private cosmetology school was too expensive.

I haven’t had any horribly bad experiences, but if I were to have to choose one I would say that “Gag Factor 30”was number one. It was rough, degrading, and I got really sick the next day. That is something I definitely would not do again.

Everyone always seems to refer to you as “cute.” Does that get old?

It never gets old at all! I would much rather look as cute and young as I can, for as long as possible.
