Getting to know the Midwestern girl next door –
Audrey Elson.
By Troy Michael
Audrey
Elson is a down to earth porn performer from the Midwest who
came into the business in 2007. Since her arrival, the 36D-25-36
leggy performer has amassed nearly 50 films to her credit. In
her short time in the industry, Audrey hasn’t seen too many
movie themes she hasn’t liked. She is fluent in anal,
interracial and the ability to handle monster cocks in her nice
pink pussy.
You may recognize Audrey from one of her crowning
achievements thus far as she played Lyssa the Witch Carnal
Comics’ film Demi the Demoness.
Although Audrey played a dark character on film,
she is far from evil. In fact, the sexy 5’10” 23-year-old said
on her MySpace page, she would like to buy the world a Coke.
Audrey also expresses herself through her
tattoos, of which she has many. On Audrey’s left shoulder she is
sporting large old English "D," which is an ode to her love of
her hometown Detroit. She also has two Sailor Jerry style pinups
on her back, two sets of cherries on each leg, and a hibiscus
flower adorning her leg.
Although Audrey Elson can be laid back, she can
also be intense, sexy or the girl next door. I had a chance to
sit down and chat with this Michigan native to see what she’s
all about.
If you would like to buy the
world a Coke, how would you afford all those bottles?
I'm sure I'd find a way. I can be resourceful,
when put to the test. I just like to make people smile.
Something as simple as a Coke can do that sometimes.
Your quote on your MySpace page
reads, "I might look like Robert Ford, but I feel just like
Jesse James." Where did you pull that one from?
That's one of my favorite Bob Dylan lyrics (taken
from “Outlaw Blues”). It's a feeling that I often relate to.
What’s it like to be a vexed porn
star?
You must have been looking at my “mood.” I'm a
woman. I get frustrated with men in my life. That's just part of
the game.
A lot of your favorite music and
movies are old school. Would you consider yourself an old soul?
I suppose. I've just always felt more connected
to the past. Older music and films have so much more feeling,
meaning and soul. Many artists today are more concerned with
sales than art, and that's always turned me off in a big way.
On your MySpace page you said
you’d like to learn three languages. What three languages would
you like to be fluent in?
French, Spanish and Italian. I'd very much like
to live in France or Italy one day.
Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in
various suburbs of Detroit and Flint, Michigan.
What
did you want to be when you were a kid?
I wanted to be an artist of some sorts. I've
always expressed myself creatively through several artistic
outlets. I wish I'd never heard the words "artists don't make
any money, so don't waste your time." Money is the last thing
that should have any bearing on artistic expression.
When you were younger did you
ever think that you might become a porn star one day?
I always knew I'd be doing something rather
different, but porn wasn't exactly at the top of my list. My
best friend and I would write comedy skits and tape them. One of
the skits involved me acting as an adult film star. I would give
advice on stain removal around the household, as well as acting
correspondent on a very fictional Michigan gay pride parade. We
were unusual children, but we had so much fun.
Did you act the part sexually of
a porn star?
Not really. I knew about sex, and I appreciated
the nude human form. I had a curiosity, but had very little real
interest in it. I didn't have sex until I was 18. I didn't feel
I was prepared for the responsibilities of adulthood that can
accompany sex, until I was an adult.
How did you choose the name
Audrey Elson?
It was a pretty random decision. I think I picked
the phone book up and flipped to a page.
How do your parents feel about
this new career choice in the adult industry?
My family isn't particularly happy about my
career in adult entertainment and I never expected them to be.
What do you think the future
holds for you in the adult business?
I'm not sure. Ideally, I'd like to work in the
adult business for another year or two, while I pursue a career
in mainstream cinema. It's a stretch, believe me. I know how
ridiculous it sounds.
What’s the best and worst thing
about working in the adult industry?
The best thing, for me, has been the money and
the freedom. I love performing in adult films, and take great
care in the quality of my performance. But the thousands of
dollars make it a much sweeter deal. Anyone who claims otherwise
isn't being all that honest. The worst thing has been the utter
lack of anonymity. People seem to think that you are who you
play in a movie. People can be very disrespectful.
If you weren’t in the adult
business what do you think you would be doing?
I would probably be floundering about California
trying to figure it all out.
Any actors you haven’t worked
with that you would want to?
I'd like to work with Nina Hartley. I watched a
MILF/Teen scene that she performed in, and I was blown away with
how sexy and in control she was.
What are the biggest
misconceptions of the adult film business?
The biggest misconception is that we're all the
products of bad households and have drug problems. My upbringing
was alright, and I don't drink or do drugs.
What were your expectations
going in and were you nervous?
I didn't know what to expect. I went into it all
very blind and naive. I was never nervous.
Have
you had any bad experiences in the adult film industry?
I've had some bad experiences, but mostly things
have been great for me. The worst experience I can recall
involved a racist director who refused to stop making hateful
remarks about minorities on set. I asked him politely to refrain
from doing so during my time on set, but he refused. My agent
didn't give a shit, and I ended up forfeiting a paycheck that
day.
What is the strangest place you
have ever had sex?
I had sex on the beach once, which was pretty
unusual for me. Sex in public is a gigantic risk, one I've
rarely taken.
What is a fantasy you haven't
done yet?
I wish I could say! Maybe I'll save it for film
and make it a surprise.
Have you ever been fisted fucked
or fist fucked someone?
Both! It's a huge fetish of mine. Watching it is
almost as hot as doing it. Watching a girl shout and scream in
absolute pleasure as she's being pounded with a fist in her
pussy is divine, don't you think? You can imagine what it's like
being that girl.
Have you ever done anything on
film that you thought you would never do?
I did a website called "Ass Smoothie" which is
exactly what it sounds like. I did an on camera fruit smoothie
enema that you ingest after expelling it from your ass. I
thought it was funny and campy, but it felt really weird and
cold. My digestive system was out of whack for a good month
afterwards.
How old were you when you first
saw a porn movie?
In high school, my friends and I would rent porn
from a local video store. The owner didn't care if we rented it,
and we'd watch them purely for entertainment value. A lot of
porno is very kitschy and funny. My favorite was Big Schlong,
Little Dong. It was hilarious.
Do you prefer men or women?
I prefer men. I've always been more attracted to
masculinity.
Outside of the business, what do
you do in your free time?
I read a lot, watch movies, and spend time
speaking to my loved ones on the phone. Lately I've preferred
staying at home. L.A. can get very overwhelming at times.
If you were invisible for a day
what would you do?
I would pull minor pranks on unsuspecting
victims.
What is one thing people would be
surprised to know about you?
People would be surprised to know that I live a
very average life. I prefer to be at home most of the time. I
hate being involved in the LA club scene. It's like watching
wildlife interact. It's never been my thing, just a room full of
wildebeests attempting to mate around a watering hole.
Disgusting!
What is your biggest guilty
pleasure?
It used to be smoking, but I've given that up
this year. I suppose men have always been a guilty pleasure of
mine, although I wish they weren't. Smoking is really the
healthier of the two. Perhaps I should give up men and take up
smoking again?
