In an industry where the career span of a female adult performer is about two years, it is pretty impressive when a performer lasts five or even 10 years.

Sexy Latina AnnMarie Rios is a legitimate porn star who is celebrating her 10 years in the porn industry this year.

She studied at the Van Mar Academy of Acting in Hollywood, and gained a real estate license at age 18, before entering the adult industry in April 2001.

AnnMarie, now 30, didn’t have to go far to find the world of sucking and fucking on film. She lived in Santa Clarita, CA just 30 miles from the hub of porn making. At 5’4” the brunette with brown eyes has a look which was an instant hit. You’ve been in the industry for 10 years now. When you started, did you envision you’d make a career out of it?

Never, I was an adventurous girl, who wanted to try something new and exciting. And it turned into a roller coaster ride. I’ve met a lot of interesting people, had a lot of great experiences but I think the best is yet to come. In fact, I know it is!

 

Do you have something in the works to look forward to?

I’m always moving forward. One thing inside the adult industry I love doing is my Playboy show, “Private Calls.” I would do it more often if I could. I love the interaction I can get with people that way.

Outside of the industry, well I do have a few projects lined up. But, I don’t want to jinx myself and say something before it comes to fruition.

 

Looking back on your career thus far, would you do anything different?

Not at all. Everything comes at just the right time. If opportunities presented themselves too early, I might not have been ready for them. So, I’m happy the way my career has so far unfolded.

 

If you weren’t in the adult business what do you think you would be doing?

Talking, radio, communicating. That is what fascinates me. So something along those lines.

 

Do you remember your first scene and who it was with? How nervous where you?

It was with August, at the time she was August Knight. I was a little apprehensive, it was not only my first scene, but it was my first girl/girl. So, yeah. It was quite the experience.

 

What led you to the porn industry as a 20 year old?

Back in 2001 I was working for a real estate company. It really wasn’t a conscious choice to become and adult actor.

Coincidentally, I grew up about 30 miles away from where 90 percent of the world’s porn is shot and one day I was taking a ride to a set with a girlfriend who was going to do a movie. Somehow I ended up in the movie with them. She did a couple of movies and then went back to her life; she’s a nurse now, and I’m still here.

 

What were your expectations going in and were you nervous?

Of course, I was nervous. I didn’t have any expectations though. I was just going to do a couple of movies and go back to my regular job. Well, that was the plan.

 

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

It changed every year. It was different things like a school teacher, a nurse, a model…

 

Were you sexual growing up?

Yeah, I was as sexual as any teenager.

 

What would you consider your biggest turn on or fetish?

Turn-ons are being kissed on the back of the neck, I love that. Fetish...my favorite fetish would be things that deal with feet, like stockings and heels. ..And candle wax.

 

Considering you’ve done over 260 scenes is there anything you haven’t done yet…or should I say is there anything you won’t do?

I always leave the door open to possibility. Above all else, it’s about timing and what feels right. Love or hate my scenes, one thing you can’t say is that they are “fake”, I am pretty selective because I know how a scene comes across and want it to feel legitimate to the viewer, I want them to be as turned on as I am. So for me to jump ahead before I was ready, viewers and fans would see right through it.

 

Have you ever had an embarrassing sex scene?

Not really. Again, that goes back to what I mentioned before about wanting to be real. So, aside from something clumsy, I don’t feel embarrassed about any of my scenes.

 

Outside of the business, what do you do in your free time?

Wow, aside from trying to spend time with my family and dogs, I really don’t have time for much. I’m a pretty driven person. My life is my business...and not necessarily in adult entertainment. When I do have time, I like to try new things, go outdoors and do yoga.

 

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about AnnMarie Rios?

I was going to say that “I’m very flexible,” but anyone who has seen my videos knows that. I would say that I’m really down to earth. I enjoy being vampy, glam and in sexy lingerie, but more often than not, I’ll have my hair in a ponytail trying to watch a Dodgers game.

 

What is your biggest guilty pleasure?

Cupcakes and Godiva candies.

 

What can your fans look forward to from AnnMarie Rios for the rest of the year?

I mentioned I have a few projects that, hopefully, will come to fruition this year. Other than that, I really want them to look forward to getting to know me. I know that sounds odd, but I think this year I’m really putting more of me out there than ever before. It’s going to be an exciting ride.
